This class will use the “X” pieced blocks and foundation paper pieced string blocks in my original quilt, Harvest Bounty, to focus on techniques for accurate piecing, pressing, and squaring blocks. Throughout the class I will share lots of tips for successfully completing applique projects and teach those who are new to FPP the how-to’s. The center applique panel will not be taught in this class. For anyone who would prefer a pieced center block, I will have a pieced flower alternate block for you to take home to complete your quilt.
A supply list, including fabric requirements and other supplies for the day, will be available for download
You will be required to purchase the pattern, Harvest Bounty, separately. It may be purchased as a download from my Etsy shop, makeryonthehill.etsy.com A hard copy of the pattern will be necessary for class. If you cannot download and print at home prior to class, the pattern will be available for purchase at class time for $15.00.
I will be teaching the freezer paper applique method at the event, also using this pattern. Piggy back the classes and you will be well on your way to finishing a new fall quilt! Check my other class listings!
Registration for this class gets you admission to the Vendor Mall on Thursday.
